Cookie policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This policy explains the small text files (and similar local-storage tools) that enginebuildflow.com places in your browser. It complements our privacy policy and applies to every visit you make to the site.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between page loads — for example, that you have submitted a form, or that you have already seen the cookie banner. We also use the related localStorage API for one specific purpose, described below.
2. The categories we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These keep the site working. They cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality, so we don\'t ask for consent to set them.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
ebf_sid | HTTP cookie | Session identifier — lets forms (contact, checkout) remember progress. | Session (cleared when you close the browser) |
ebf_cookie_consent_v1 | localStorage | Records whether you have accepted or declined optional cookies. | 180 days, refreshed each visit |
ebf_csrf (in session) | Server-side | Cross-site request forgery token; never readable by JavaScript. | Session |
2.2 Analytics (optional, only set with consent)
If you accept cookies via the banner, we set a single first-party analytics cookie. We use it to understand which pages and posts get read, in aggregate. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
ebf_anon | HTTP cookie | Random anonymous identifier used to count unique sessions in our self-hosted analytics. | 180 days |
2.3 Payment provider (Stripe)
If you reach the checkout page and proceed to payment, you will be redirected to Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own domains for fraud detection and session management. These are governed by Stripe\'s cookie notice, which we cannot override.
3. How to change your choice
You can change your decision at any time by clearing the entry ebf_cookie_consent_v1 from your browser\'s site data, then reloading the page — the banner will reappear. We are working on an in-page "manage cookies" button; in the meantime, if you have trouble, email info@enginebuildflow.com and we\'ll walk you through it.
You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Strictly-necessary cookies will still be set within the page itself, but the analytics cookie will not be created.
4. Do Not Track
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" header, we treat it as a declined consent and will not set the analytics cookie, regardless of what was stored previously.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we will update this page and adjust the "last updated" date. Material changes will trigger a new banner so you can re-confirm your choice.
